About Science: Not Perfect is Good
In a battle between two scientists in Hueco Mundo, Mayuri Kurotsuchi gave Syazel Aporro Granz his victory speech. Mayuri is a captain of 12th division in the Gotei 13 of Shinigami. Syazel Aporro is an Arrancar and the octave Espada (top 8). For me, this speech reminds me of the conversation between Krishna and Arjuna in Bhagavad Gita in the war of the clan Bharata (Bharata Yudha) on Kurukshetra. Well, the comparison between two stories is a kind of apple and orange things. But I like both apple and orange.
This is Mayuri's victory speech about science: Not Perfect is Good.

There is no perfection in this world.
It's a cliché expression
but it's the truth.
Thus ordinary people yearn for "Perfection" and seek it out.
But what meaning is there in "Perfection"?
None.
Absolutely none at all.
I abhor "Perfection"
If something is "Perfect"
then there is nothing better than it.
There is no room for "Creation" within it.
It means there is no opening
for talent or wisdom to enter into it.
Do you understand?
For scientists, perfection is despair.
Something can be more wonderful
than anything that has existed thus far
but it can never be perfect.
A scientist is an organism
that must continually suffer
under this constradiction
and even find pleasure in it.
In other words,
you had already lost to me
the instant you uttered that crazy word,
"Perfection".
This is, of course,
assuming that you were a scientist

The other version of the Mayuri's victory speech can be seen in the animé.
